Dave 2020-03-17 19:34:35 @Actually85Factually,,,You are incorrect. In your post you are speaking in GIGABYTES (GBp/s) not GIGABIT (Gbp/s). In terms of data transfer speeds 8 is the key number to multiply and divide by to determine speeds. 1GBp/s = 8000Mbp/s, 1Gbp/s = 1000Mbp/s or 125MBp/s (1000Mbps /8 = 125MBps) respectively.
When using our mbps to MB converter, one can easily use both units. Difference between Mbps and MB/s. A MB per second (MB/s) is a non-standard unit for network throughput, often used due to its convenience since most file sizes one works with are in usually expressed in byte-units: KB, MB, GB, etc., and not bit-units like kbps and mbps. 23 Megabit/Second to Megabyte/Second Conversion - Convert 23 Megabit/Second (Mbit/s) 2.875 Megabyte/Second (MB/s) Megabit/Second : Megabit per second is a unit of data transfer rate which is equal to 106 bit/s, or 1.25 × 105 bytes per second. MB to Mbps Converter - convert MegaBytes per Second to If it is 5 MB/s SI, then that is 5,000,000 Bytes, and since a Byte is 8 bits, multiply by 8 to get 40,000,000 bits per second (bps). Converting back to mbps requires us to divide by 1,000,000, which gives us 40 mbps. So we need a 40 mbps connections to transfer 5 MB/s (decimal).
